Welcome back! I hope everyone has been doing very well!

みんなおかえり！ みんながとてもうまくやっていることを願っています！

We have been busy learning and playing class and I am excited to share about what we have been doing since our last blog update! I would also like to officially welcome our youngest students to Sam’s English Class! Our youngest students joined our class in July and have been doing a great job!

私たちはクラスで学習したり遊んだりするのに忙しかったので、前回のブログ更新以降に何をしてきたかを共有できることを嬉しく思います。 また、最年少の園児たちをサムの英語クラスに正式に歓迎したいと思います。最年少の園児たちは7月に私たちのクラスに加わり、素晴らしい授業をしています。

 

June, July, August and September (including summer vacation) have gone so quickly! The kids are growing up so fast. They seem to be getting more and more comfortable practicing their English-speaking skills in class which is delightful to see. It is also great to see everyone beginning to remember the lyrics of the songs we sing together!

6月、7月、8月、9月（夏休み含む）はあっという間に過ぎてしまいました。 園児はとても早く成長しています。 園児らはクラスで英語を話すスキルを練習することにますます慣れているようで、それを見るのはとても楽しいことです。 みんなで歌った曲の歌詞を覚え始めているのも嬉しいですね！

Food:
Whenever I teach food, I become hungry! And these lessons were no exception! Together, we sang songs about different types different combinations of food. The kids did a great job identifying food and bad food combinations (e.g., BROCCOLI ICE CREAM).

食べ物：
食べ物を教えるといつもお腹が空く！ これらのレッスンも例外ではありませんでした。 私たちは一緒に、さまざまな種類のさまざまな食べ物の組み合わせについての歌を歌いました。 園児たちは、食べ物と悪い食べ物の組み合わせ（ブロッコリーのアイスクリームなど）を識別するという素晴らしい勉強をしました。

 

Insects:
For the subject of insects, we looked at a variety of different insects (bugs) ranging from cute ladybugs to personal nightmares of mine: SPIDERS! Looking at pictures of these “creepy crawlies” was fun, but not as fun as making an origami butterfly! Through a bit of hard work (and help from the lovely kindergarten teachers) we were able to make a butterfly to take home!

昆虫:
昆虫のテーマでは、かわいいてんとう虫から個人的な悪夢である蜘蛛まで、さまざまな昆虫 (虫) を調べました。 これらの「不気味な這い虫」の写真を見るのは楽しかったですが、折り紙で蝶を作るほど楽しいものではありませんでした。 少しの努力（そして素敵な幼稚園の先生たちの助け）のおかげで、私たちは家に持ち帰る蝶を作ることができました。

Jobs and places:
Regarding our most recent topics, we learned about some common places and things that are most commonly associated with these said places. For example, a police station and a police car. A zoo and animals etc. To do so, we played a matching game where students would have to quickly rush to the correct place before getting caught by me!

仕事と場所:
最近のトピックに関しては、いくつかの一般的な場所と、それらの場所に最も一般的に関連付けられている事柄について学びました。 たとえば、警察署やパトカーなどです。 動物園や動物など。そのために、園児たちは私に捕まる前に正しい場所に素早く急ぐ必要があるマッチング ゲームを行いました。

In the near future:
As the end of the year is quickly approaching us, this means that it will soon be Halloween! So, from October, we will begin to learn about ghosts and goblins and everything in between! We will have fun games and activities for the kids, which I am very excited for as it is my favorite time of the year! I wonder what this year’s costume will be… I hope we can do some kind of craft this year!

近い将来：
年末も近づき、もうすぐハロウィンの季節ですね！ ということで、10月からは幽霊やゴブリン、そしてその間のあらゆるものについて学び始めます！園児たちに楽しいゲームやアクティビティを用意する予定です。私は一年で一番好きな時期なので、とても楽しみにしています。 今年の仮装は何だろう…今年は何か工作ができたらいいな！
