Christmas and New Year’s celebrations（クリスマスそして新年のお祝い）

Merry Christmas and happy New Year! As we welcome 2024, I want to wish everyone the best and hope all your goals and resolutions come into reality!

メリークリスマス、そしてハッピーニューイヤー！ 2024 年を迎えるにあたって、皆様のご多幸を祈り、皆様の目標と目標が現実になることを願っています。

December and January have been full on! Our lessons have been packed with special events, activities and topics, from different aspects of Christmas to New Year’s celebrations across the world. We talked about what we wanted to achieve in 2024 and even sent letters to Santa! Luckily for us, Santa sent us a care package all the way from the North Pole!

12月、1月も充実してきました！ 私たちのレッスンには、クリスマスのさまざまな側面から世界中の新年のお祝いまで、特別なイベント、アクティビティ、トピックが満載です。 2024年に達成したいことについてお話しました。サンタさんに手紙も送りました！ 幸運なことに、サンタさんははるばる北極から心のこもった小包を送ってくれました。

Rudolph’s nose:（ルドルフ（トナカイの名前）の鼻げーむ）

For this Christmas game, we first covered Christmas themes and words and also body parts. A picture of Rudolf the red nose reindeer was drawn on the whiteboard with one important thing missing… Rudolf’s nose! The kid’s job was to “throw” Rudolf’s nose back onto his face using a sticky ball. This was a lot of fun and I was very impressed by the power behind some of the throws I saw!

このクリスマス ゲームでは、まずクリスマスのテーマと言葉、そして体の部分を取り上げました。 ホワイトボードには赤い鼻のトナカイ、ルドルフの絵が描かれていましたが、重要なものが 1 つ欠けていました…ルドルフの鼻です。 子供の仕事は、粘着ボールを使ってルドルフの鼻を顔に「投げ返す」ことでした。 これはとても楽しかったし、私が見たいくつかの投げの背後にあるパワーには非常に感銘を受けました。

Christmas tree decorations:（クリスマスツリーの飾り）

This activity involved the students assembling a Christmas tree and then decorating it with a variety of ornaments. These included stars, angels, candy canes and many more! This was fun to see everyone be creative with their decorations.

この活動では、生徒たちがクリスマスツリーを組み立て、それをさまざまな飾りで飾りました。 これらには、星、天使、キャンディケインなどが含まれます。 みんなが創造的に飾り付けをしているのを見るのは楽しかったです。

Snowball attack:（雪だるま攻撃！！）

Inspired by the classic game of dodgeball, this game was our finale to all of our Christmas activities so we went all out! Two teams and a LOT of snowballs (scrunched up paper). Students had to eliminate the other team members by throwing these balls at the others. The last team remaining wins! Simple but so much fun!

ドッジボールの古典的なゲームからインスピレーションを得たこのゲームは、私たちのクリスマス活動のフィナーレだったので、私たちは全力で取り組みました。 2 つのチームとたくさんの雪玉 (丸めた紙)。 園児たちはこれらのボールを他のチームメンバーに投げて他のチームメンバーを排除しなければなりませんでした。 最後まで残ったチームが勝ちです！ シンプルだけどとても楽しい！

New Year showdown:（新年対決）

Our first activity covering New Year based themes. Two students were called up to the front of the class and stood back-to-back. They both would hold a flashcard containing something New Year’s themed. They then would take 3 steps and quickly turn around revealing each other’s flashcards. The first person to say the other person’s flashcard was the winner! Very cowboy/ country western vibes, hence the name “showdown”!

新年をテーマにした最初のアクティビティ。 二人の園児がクラスの前に呼ばれ、背中合わせに立った。 二人とも新年をテーマにしたフラッシュカードを持っていました。 それから彼らは 3 歩進んですぐに向きを変え、お互いのフラッシュカードを見せ合いました。 相手のフラッシュカードを最初に言った人が勝者です。 非常にカウボーイ/カントリー ウエスタンの雰囲気があるため、「ショーダウン」という名前が付けられています。
