Hello, everyone! Welcome back to another English blog. It seems like we have finally made it through another very hot summer! I hope you all stayed safe and didn’t get too badly sunburnt. As for myself, my skin is very weak so I get sunburnt very easily. Sometimes I wish I would just get a nice tan!

こんにちは、みんなさん！英語のブログへようこそ。 暑い夏をやっと乗り切ったようですね！ みんなさん、日焼けなどに気をつけて、安全にお過ごしください。ぼく自身  、肌がとても弱いので日焼けしやすいです。 時々、いい日焼けをしたいと思う！

 

Although the title of this blog is “space”, we have looked at a few other topics over the past few months. We have looked at: types of clothes, colors, sports and summer activities. It was especially fun to listen to everyone’s summer vacation stories!

このブログのタイトルは『宇宙』だけど、実は、この２ヶ月の間、他のいくつかのトピックをしていました。 他のトピックは：服の種類、色、スポーツ、サマーアクティビティー。 特にみんなの夏休みの話が聞けて楽しかったよ！

 

All our classes began with the same review. This included weather, colors and numbers. As for the number review, we accompanied this section with a game called “high and low”. How this works is students are shown a number and must guess whether the next randomly drawn card will be higher or lower than the original number. A simple, yet fun little game!

僕たちのすべてのクラスは、同じ復習から始まりました。天気、色、数字とかだったね。 数字の復習では、『ハイ アンド ロー』というゲームを加えました。これがどのように機能するかというと、子供たちは数字を見せられ、次にランダムに引かれたカードが元の数字よりも高いか低いかを推測しなければなりません。 シンプルだけど楽しいゲーム！

 

The main part of our lesson was looking at space and things related to space. We looked at concepts of low gravity and not being able breath in space using gestures and doing actions veeeerry sloowwlllyyy! The lesson vocabulary was then introduced and we went over what each piece of vocabulary’s purpose was. For example: A rocket flies! A star shines! A moon glows!

僕たちは 低重力についてや、宇宙の中で 息をしたり、アクションしたり、ジェスチャーすることが難しいことを知りました。 次に、レッスンの語彙が紹介され、各語彙の目的が何であるかを調べました。 例：ロケットが飛ぶ！　星が輝く！ 月が光る！

 

We finished things off with a quick game of reverse snap where instead of calling out the vocabulary and the students touching the corresponding flashcard, I point at one of the flashcards and the first student to say what said flashcard is, wins a point for their team.

最後にリバース スナップの簡単なゲームをしました。単語を呼び出して子供たちが対応するフラッシュ カードに触れる代わりに、私がフラッシュ カードの 1 つを指さし、そのフラッシュ カードが何かを最初に言った子供たちのチームがポイントを獲得します。 .

 

It has been great seeing the majority of students having fun and I am really looking forward to our upcoming Halloween lessons! Spooky!
